Lo sfacciato e intraprendente Salvo (Ficarra) e il timido e riservato Valentino (Picone) hanno lasciato Palermo e lavorano a Torino come ciceroni, portando in giro per la città i visitatori con un pullman giallo a due piani, simbolo della loro piccola società di servizi turistici. E, mentre sono alle prese con le disavventure che la loro attività comporta - create anche da una giovane guida alle loro dipendenze (Sascha Zacharias) che non parla nessuna lingua straniera - si imbattono casualmente in Sonia (Diane Fleri), una loro amica d'infanzia emigrata anni prima negli Usa e causa di non pochi motivi di discussione tra Valentino e la sua fidanzata Gisella (Ambra Angiolini), intenzionata già da tempo a porre fine al loro soffocante rapporto. Come se non bastassero le sue vicissitudini private, Valentino si mette in testa di trovare una compagna all'amico Salvo, single impenitente...
