Una adolescente americana di nome Jennifer viene affidata a un collegio svizzero e per lei iniziano alcune disavventure legate al suo sonnambulismo ma anche a un misterioso assassino di bambine scomparse nei pressi del collegio. Viene aiutata da un anziano entomologo che le consegna in una gabbietta la "mosca sarcofaga" che dovrebbe aiutarla a trovare l'omicida.
