Anni Settanta. Sulla scena musicale inglese esplode il fenomeno del Glam Rock. Brian Slade, esponente di punta del movimento, e il suo amico Curt Wild, sconvolgono la sonnacchiosa Gran Bretagna. Da quel momento schiere di giovani si truccano e si vestono come loro. Slade però commette l'errore di imboccare la via dell'autodistruzione e, prigioniero del suo personaggio, mette in scena il proprio assassinio.
