Bill Tates (Castel) è incaricato dal governo messicano di liquidare Elias, capo dei rivoluzionari. Per arrivare al suo obiettivo, si aggrega alla banda dell'opportunista El Chuncho (Volontè), che depreda convogli e caserme dei governativi per rivendere armi e munizioni a Elias. Al quartier generale rivoluzionario El Chuncho è però accusato di un crimine orrendo e sta per essere giustiziato, ma Bill lo salva, ed Elias rimane ucciso.
