Tanto bravo quanto rompiscatole, viene mandato per punizione dal suo direttore a intervistare un'ornitologa che vive sulle Montagne Rocciose in completa solitudine. La donna studia infatti una specie rara di aquila. Il lupo però perde il pelo ma non il vizio e con la sua irruenza il giornalista scompiglia la quiete della studiosa, ma ne conquista il cuore. All'inizio è scontro aperto, ma gli opposti si attraggono sempre più fino al matrimonio finale con codazzo di aquilotti.
